Ladies Day Out (w/kids)

Today I met up with some friends from High School. Some of us have not seen each other in over 7 years at our 10-year High School Reunion. Yikes, I know.

We took our kids to an indoor play place and just sat and caught up with each other. We retold funny stories and memorable moments from High School and talked about our families. It was a wonderful time together and we all agreed we need to do this more often, especially since all but one of us live within about 30 minutes - 1 hour of each other. I am glad we have reconnected and do hope we can meet again soon. It was also sweet to see the kids get along so well even though a few of them just met each other. I just have to say that God is good.

Opening Day of Soccer

Saturday was Hayley's Opening Day of Soccer.
It was an early morning for the players and their parents.

They had a parade from a nearby school to the soccer fields where they will play. Although Trevor is not playing this year he was still able to join in the parade with the team. Here is Hayley and Jayden.

There is only one other girl on the team with Hayley and he she is helping Hayley get the ball from the opposing team.

Hayley is getting better at getting into the mix with the other kids. Sometimes she is hesitant, but then she just goes for it.

Hayley did really well in her game and was able to get the ball away from several kids. Her only problem is dribbling the ball down the field. She still needs to work on that part.

She almost made a goal in her game.
She kicked the ball hard, but it hit the goal post and went out of the playing field.

What does Soccer have to do with a tongue, you ask....

Here she is again, but during game play. Even though they are all on the same team EVERY player seems to go after the same ball. Her team just happened to be the closest ones in the picture. Again notice the tongue.


Here real games start this Saturday after the players have a parade to the field.

Tonight Trevor lost another tooth. It was a bottom tooth and now the front of his mouth looks empty. His teeth take forever to fall out and grow back in.
