More Gymnastics

It has taken 7 weeks of gymnastics classes for Hayley not to be shy about being in the class. For whatever reason she would get very apprehensive and not want to be with the other kids for the first 10 -15 minutes. I know what your thinking, not little outgoing, full of smiles, and without fear Hayley. Today she surprised us and never cried/pouted once. Even Trevor said how well she did tonight. Next week may be a different story, but we are glad we had the camera tonight.

Part of the obstacle course the Gymstars do is the balance beam. They are asked to go backwards so they can get practice keeping steady.

Hayley is really good at this and sometimes goes to fast and hits the person in front of her, well really behind her.

Hayley doesn't really like this part of the obstacle course. When the coaches are not looking she doesn't walk on her hands and feet, but rather her hands and swings her legs to the end.

The coaches try to get the kids to hang with their legs straight for tens seconds. Most of them do okay for the first 5 seconds and then the coaches need to help them out a bit.

This is Coach Jeff.
He really likes helping Hayley because she is brave enough to try anything.

Not sure of this coach's name but we call her the "water bottle" coach as she is always drinking from a water bottle. Here is is trying to get Hayley to learn how to flip herself around the bar.

Of course, the coach has to help her do this. Hayley loves it when she gets flipped fast.

The coach shows them what to do on the big trampoline and then the kids take turns trying it. Here is Little Miss Hayley jumping as high as she can. the picture would have been better if I were closer, but you can see how long the trampoline is. Well, half of it anyways.
