Hayley....

While at my parent's house today for a b-bque Hayley was running to catch the birdie for badminton and tripped. She fell face first into the Stucco pole in front of their house. She cried for all of about 90 seconds and then was up and playing again. At first when she was crying her nose was all scrunched up and looked much worse, but once she stopped crying we could see the damage was not as bad as first thought. She has the scrapes on her nose and just below it.

Hayley insisted that I take a picture of her with the ice pack on her nose. I think we can start calling her "Grace" just like when I was little.

Here she is at home about 4 hours later. She is all happy and playing with Trevor. I am sure we will see some wonderful purple and yellow colors in the next few days, but for now we have 2 big scrapes and a little one. We are very thankfully she is so tough and didn't now hurt herself any worse. She is going to be a stunt double when she grows up I tell you.

Something is Missing....

Trevor lost another tooth on Saturday night. It makes his 5th total lost, but one of those had to be pulled by the dentist. Since Trevor was going to spend Sunday night with his grandparents we convinced him that the Tooth Fairy gave more money for teeth that fall out on Saturdays. We were not sure it would work, but he kept wiggling the tooth and out it came. We did not want him to be at his grandparent's when it fell out as the Tooth Fairy is most familiar with Trevor's room and where he puts his lost teeth. It would not have been good to make him wait until Monday Night when he is back home and not fair that the grandparents would get to be there for the Tooth Fairy and not us.

Here is another picture of his lost tooth. He was so happy that the tooth finally came out as it has been loose for about 2 months now. After the top middle one came out he started wiggling a bottom tooth that was loose to see if he could have 2 to put under his pillow. No such luck for two in one night, but he sure did give it a good try. When Trevor woke up on Sunday morning there was a $5 bill waiting for him . He is still amazed that the Tooth Fairy can take the tooth out of the plastic bag and replace it with money and not wake Trevor up. "She is really good," he says.

Although Trevor is letting his hair grow long (as seen in the teeth pictures above), I decided that I would cut Boo's hair shorter so he can look young again. When Boo's hair gets too long he starts to look really old and for a dog who was born in Dec. 2006 he should not look old. Here are some pictures I took tonight after his haircut.

I love how he always has one ear up and one ear down.
It is his little trademark.

I was using treats to get him to look at the camera and caught this one just after he ate the treat. I thought it was funny!

Marine World (Discovery Kindgom)

On Friday, May 8 we went to Discovery Kingdom with the Peacock family and Auntie Karen. Here we are getting ready for the whale show.

Well at least Sean is smiling. Hayley didn't really want to sit still and wait for the show to start.

I love watching the whale. It is amazing that something that big can not only get its own body out of the water, but look awesome doing it. God is good.

And a wave good bye.

Hayley and James were holding hands all day. Either he would take her and lead her somewhere or she would take the lead. It was great to see them get along so well.

Watching the dolphins swimming around their exhibit. We did not get to see the dolphin show this time, but thankfully the kids did get to see then swim.

Some goofy shots of the kids in the play area.

Hayley's first ride on this roller coaster and also her first ride on any roller coaster without Sean or I. She was so excited to go with her big brother. Trevor was more than happy to take her too.

As you can see from the smiles, this was a fun ride and one that they both will do again.

After the roller coaster Hayley and Trevor wanted to take James on the Submarine ride. Well we thought just the kids could go, but James was not tall enough to ride without a parent. So both Dan and Joe decided to have a go at the submarine ride.

Here we are on the Thomas Train ride. It appears James is giving Hayley a kiss on her cheek, but he was just looking at her.

Trevor (and Karen) held Rebekah on the train ride. Trevor was treating Rebekah just the way he would treat his little sister. It was very sweet to see him with her.

The kids lunches came in this bright orange bucket, but Hayley decided it should be worn as a hat. Silly Girl!

A cougar.
We did stay here long as we were on our way to the tiger show.

This is another animal we could watch all day. They are such beautiful creatures. I loved watching the white tiget jump from one log to another and to see the two littlier ones playing near the water.

The tiger dove into the water to get the meat thrown by the trainer. It was a cool thing to see. If we would have got to the show earlier I would have been closer and got a better face shot. Maybe next time and in the new Tiger Island Exhibit.

If they were not holding hands they could be found sitting in the stroller together. So cute.

Rebekah is just to darn cute. I love her smile and her scrunched up nose. Although her top tooth did not break through while in America they will certainly be coming out quickly upon their return to England. (Joe will have to post pictures when they do. Hint, Hint!)

James and Hayley sharing a frozen lemonade. Trevor shared his with Rebekah, but I didn;t get a picture of that. It was a hot day and all 4 kids enjoyed getting a treat.

Joe waving from the top of the log ride. Karen and I "volunteered" to stay off the ride with James and Rebekah. I said I could get a good picture from the bridge, but I really just wanted to stay dry. Karen, who normally would have gone on this and loved getting wet, said she waould watch the kids so Dan and Joe could have a go at it. James would have went too, but he was a bit too small.

This was Hayley and Trevor's first time on this type of ride. I think Sean was just afraid Hayley would fall out or the boat.

Looking around and accessing who got the wettest.

The aftermath. Good thing I stayed off the ride.
They had a great time and didn't take too long to dry off.

After the Log Ride we went to see the Seals and Sea Lions.

Auntie Karen bought some fish so the 4 kids could feed the Seals and Sea Lions.

Well, Rebekah didn't understand the whole fish thing, so she opened her mouth and let her pacifier fall out into the water. Joe was reaching to take it from her when it fell and said it felt like it happened in slow motion. It was quickly grabbed up by one of the seals or sea lions who swam off. Dan and Joe told the attendant right away, but when asked which one took it, they were puzzled. How do you tell which one of the animals, who all look the same, took the pacifier? Thankfully the culprit spit it out and the attendant was able to get it with a net. What a eventful trip to the Seal and Sea Lion exhibit for the Johnson/Peacock/Roletto group. A great story to tell Rebekah when she is older.

This was the coolest thing ever. The walrus was clapping at the kids looking through the glass. The attendant said this is not normal behvaior for the walrus, but that he just started doing it. The walrus would come right up and stare at Rebekah as if he were talking to her. She was all smiles and enjoyed playing with the walrus.

When Trevor had his head below the water line the walrus stayed below, but when Trevor moved it above the water line the walrus sometimes would follow. This was the funnest walrus we have ever seen. He was very interactive and kept clapping.

This was one of Hayley's first rides when she came to Discovery Kingdom at just barely 2. So it was only fitting that Trevor and Hayley shared the experience with James, who is 2 1/2. All 3 seemed to love the ride and all we saw were huge grins.

Next up were the swings with Dan and James. It was fun listening to the kids giggle as they came by us. It was also hard to get pictures as they flew through the air.

Just being silly kids having a blast at the park.

It took three tries to get a picture with all 3 kids looking in the same direction. Not bad after a full day at the park.

Sean bought the kids, minus Rebekah, a Superhero cape to play with and then take home. James was not to sure about it at first, but once he saw Trevor and Hayley running and having fun he enjoyed it.

Here Trevor is flying.
(pay not attention to the pole beneath him)

If you ever need a Superhero, we have 3 in mind for you.
They may be small, but they are mighty.

What a great day we had at Discovery Kingdom.
Not to mention a cute way to end the day.
