Final Swimming lesson...

Today was the kids last day of swimming and the first day I actually remembered to bring the camera. They have gone 4 days a week for 3 weeks and I just bring the camera today. I know I am slacking at this picture thing.
(Sorry Devon and Joe, I promise to do better).

Here they are showering off before their swim lessons start.

The kids have to sit outside the pool (completely wet from the shower) and wait for their instructor. It is mean in my opinion since the poo is heated and it has been windy, but the kids don't seem to mind too much.

Hayley is in the Tiny Tot Class which is for kids 5 and under. She has been one of the more advanced kids this time around as she is not afraid of the water and did have swim lessons last year as well.

The kids all enjoy splashing like crazy while waiting for their instructor. Sometimes they even splash the instructors, but today the instructors were running late so the kids just splashed ans splashed.

Hayley's class usually is helped into circle area by the instructors, but today was "JUMP into the DEEP END DAY." Hayley normally loves this part, but today decided to step in rather than jump in. Some of the other kids were afraid and refused to jump in.

Now on with the lessons. Hayley loves to put her face and head under water, but is extremely proud that she can float on her back. Her instructor even lets go of her back sometimes and she does it by herself according to Hayley.

This is how the instructor gets the class back to the circle area from the deep end. The kids think it is so cool because the instructor goes really fast and they kids their legs.

Add ImageTrevor has really grown in his swimming ability since last summer and was thankful he was able to do swim lessons again this summer. Had it not been for Hayley's soccer on Monday and Thursday they would have been registered for the next 3 week swim session. Oh well, we will just have to practice at Auntie Karen's pool or go stay in a hotel and swim.

With it being the last day the older classes got play tag in the water after they practiced a few of their strokes. This is all 4 of the Beginners classes playing tag with their instructors.

Trevor was being chased by his instructor, who was it, but made it to the edge of the pool and was considered safe.

Not for long though.
Trevor is now it and has to tag someone with the water toy (a frog). The kids used these toys so that the other kids could tell who was it and who was not. Smart idea.

It took him a little bit, but he found someone to tag.

And then he did what he does best in the water and swam away as fast as he could.

I love this picture of Trevor in the water. It was taken just as he came up out of the water. Notice the water being expelled from his nose and his long hair covering his eyes. He is constantly combing (moving) his hair out of his eyes when he swims. I was hoping this would make him want to cut it, but he said NO WAY!

Oh well, thankfully his hair has grown passed awkward stage in which it looks like it has just been too long since your last haircut and is starting to really look nice.
