Trevor Graduates Kindergarten. YEAH!!

Here is Trevor before school this morning, June 8th. His teacher told the kids to wear something for graduation that they would wear to a wedding. Well, luckily for us and Trevor he has been to a few weddings and happened to have an outfit at home. He thinks it is so cool to wear wedding socks (dress socks).

Here is his class. There are about 18 kids in Kindergarten and 6 in 1st Grade. The 1st Graders got to participate in the graduation ceremony, but did not receive a graduation certificate. Look how well the kids are dress, especially the front row.

This is Mrs. Vantaka giving him his graduation certificate. She told the audience that Trevor is very bright and will do extremely well in First Grade. She said he is one of her best readers in Kindergarten and even had him read in front of everyone to demonstrate. He did such a good job. We are very proud of him.

The teacher brought in a white graduation gown for the girls and a black one for the boys. A parent had made this pretty arch a few years ago and the teacher uses it for pictures each year. He was so excited to be moving to First Grade. Trevor is learning new things every day and is such a blessing to watch grow. He loves to read and really likes doing his work.

Here is Trevor and his very good friend Nick. They are both moving from Kindergarten to First Grade. We hope that they will be in the same class again next year. Nick also lives in our housing track so they should be able to play together this summer as well.

Here is Nick, Erick and Trevor on Graduation Day. They are all in the same class and on the same baseball team. We are so glad Trevor has found good friends this year. Even though Erick is moving to Second Grade and Trevor and Nick will be in First Grade we are sure they will remain friends. They funny thing about these boys is that they each have a sister that is just about to turn 3 in either august or September. So if we are lucky the boys and girls will be friends for a long time.
