Trevor has started Soccer practice again. His coaches this time are spending a lot of time on the fundamentals of soccer and how to kick, dribble and move the ball down field. He is already doing so good. He is showing more confidence when he has to go up against the better kids.

Here he is taking a shot at the goal. They spend a fair amount of time practicing making goals and being goalie. Trevor is able to kick the ball better with both feet this year. Since Trevor's left leg is the dominate one, he tricks the goalie who thinks the ball is going to be hit with the right foot. They are expecting it from the other leg and he has been able to make some goals in practice. His smile gets so big.

This is his friend Nick going after the ball. It is Nick's first year of playing and he too is already getting much better and more confident when going after the ball. I noticed that Trevor does have trouble when he and Nick are on opposing teams for the scrimmage game at practice. Since it is his good friend he is not as aggressive about getting the ball. He is working on that though.
His first game is this Saturday, August 16 so check back for more Soccer pictures.

While the boys play soccer the girls play in the dirt. This is Hayley's good friend Natalie, who happens to be Nick's almost 4 year old sister. The girls start with clean little puppy stuffed animals and within about 2 minutes they looked like the dogs in 101 Dalmatians all covered in soot (dirt). They have so much fun so Megan (Natalie and Nick's mom) just let them play.

The only problem with Hayley playing in the dirt is that her air gets in her face and she wipes it out of her way. I try to tie it back, but either she refuses or takes it out in the car ride to the park. He face is always so dirty from her hands hitting her face when she moves her hair.
