Pumpkin Festival on Halloween

This year for Halloween we decided not to go door to door to Trick-or-Treat but instead to go to the Pumpkin Festival at our new church. We had not been to one before and thought the kids would enjoy themselves. We were right. They had lots of fun playing games and getting candy.

First thing the kids had to do at the Pumpkin Festival was get their face/hand painted. Trevor did not want his face painted just in case he put his Ninja mask back on. Didn't matter though within about 2 minutes of getting the snake on his hand, Hayley ran into him and smeared the snake. Trevor was upset that his snake was ruined, but told Hayley it is okay it was an accident.

This was one of the picture taking spots set up for families. Great background but "Alice" would not look at the camera, no matter how many times you said her name. They also had a dunk tank in the parking lot and both Trevor and Hayley were able to hit the target and drop the person into the water. If it was not raining and dark when we were at the dunk tank I would have had the best picture of it. No, really I would have.

The dart game for Trevor went really well. He hit a balloon on his first try and earned some candy. Hayley on the other hand was a bit wild. She wound up to throw the dart and scratched Sean's hand with it. Then she threw the dart overhand like she was throwing a baseball. After that the workers in the booth just gave her candy and said "good job."

They even had a very small petting zoo with sheep, goats and a small pony. The pony is not in the picture because it was a bit scared of the small quarters and all the kids. I don't blame it, I felt that way too.
