The kids started swim lessons on June 23. They go 4 days a week for half an hour. Trevor is in the Beginner Level 1 and Hayley is in the Tiny Tot class. The pool is outdoors but is heated and the kids love that.

Here are some pictures of Trevor this week. He is already doing much better than day one. He was having trouble keeping his head under water when floating with the rest of the class so Sean showed him a trick and by Thursday Trevor was not the first kid to pop his head out of the water. When he finally did emerge he had to biggest smile ever. He was incredibly proud of his accomplishment, as were we. We were worried that he would not like swim lessons as he is a bit apprehensive in the water, but he is having so much fun.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hayley was very nervous the first day. She is in a class with 2-4 year olds and some very clingy kids. She seemed to do alright for the first few minutes and then 4 of the kids near her started to cry and would not stop. Eventually this caused Hayley to cry and you could her her say, "I want my mommy." The coach (Adam) was very patient with her and just took her out swimming. Once she was away from the other kids she was fine. She loves her coach and is having fun with the different "swimmings" she is learning. She is so cute in that each class she needs to get out to the pool to go potty. While this is a good thing, I am sure the other kids are just peeing in the pool. Her coach just waves for me to come get her, we go, and the she rejoins her class.I will post more pictures as the kids develop more skills in the water.
